My interest in graphic design stems from my passion for the arts. I want my art to contribute to society, and my creativity can manifest through graphic design. It allows my passions to merge together through art and technology by creating something new and exciting!

Nova-Con Magazine
This is a sample magazine cover I created in InDesign. I used the image of the woman to make two different types of magazine covers. I chose this one of Sci-Fi because I’m a fan of the science fiction genre. I believe the typography, background colors, and placement of text all came together to blend effectively to showcase this beautiful Sci-Fi rendition.
Poop, Scoop, n’ Boogie Board
I designed this foam board in Illustrator for my client Poop, Scoop, n’ Boogie. They are a pet waste management company that was looking to showcase the need for their services. Therefore, I created this board with pertinent information about the negative effects of pet waste. I also created the dog logo and chose the font for the name of the business.

Escape to Paradise Advertisement
This is an advertisement for a fictitious spa and resort company, Amethyst Bay, that I created in Illustrator. I wanted to incorporate the action part of the resort as well as the relaxation. I found the perfect balance in the images and typography I chose to showcase.
Emily Dickinson Typographical Portrait
This is a typographical portrait of Emily Dickinson that I created in Illustrator with the trace program. Afterwards, I used the text warp tool to create the words you see here. I chose Emily Dickinson because she inspires me. Her words make people think about the possibilities beyond the surface. I went with a handwritten font because I feel like it embodied her style and because she was a writer. I chose dark purple to help break up the negative space but to also bring some feminine color to the portrait.

Percy Jackson Book Group Image

I created this image to help my online tutoring client advertise her new book group. Working in Photoshop, I used the content aware scale and content aware fill tools to change the image from portrait to landscape.
Paws and Claws Logo
This logo for a fictitious veterinary clinic was my first attempt at designing branding. I hand drew this design first before putting it into Illustrator to make it digital.

TOWN table tent
I created this table tent in InDesign for a ficitious restauraunt called TOWN. I wanted to keep the design simple and modern while still incorporating the brand style. I used brand guidelines: colors, typography, logo, and then created the table tent for the restaurant. I felt like TOWN had a modern, simple feel to it, so I stuck to a dark background for my table tent before adding the information for drinks in the given color scheme.
Calendar

This is a calendar I made in InDesign. I wanted to use shapes and words to create a unique design. I decided to add the cat for added fun. ๐

“Are the Planets Inhabited?” Magazine Spread

I was given an author, title, and the words on the right hand side to create a magazine spread. I used InDesign for this project. I correctly formatted the paragraphs and created the pull quote. I also chose the font for the magazine title, author’s name, and the magazine information. I chose the color on the right page, as well as the image on the left page.
Challenge Accepted Illustration
I illustrated this t-shirt for my brother who is a fishing fiend. I used my Wacom tablet and the Gimp program. I wanted to incorporate his desire to fish for hours in his kayak.

I created this t-shirt for a client for a cruise. I used Illustrator and Photoshop. The client wanted something fun and silly to wear on their trip, while also having something to remember it by.
